We have the minimum Atlantic.net hosting capability currently, and we have had nights with up to 90 players without any performance dips.
Is there a way to do a load-test to determine how many more players could play at once?
We are planning to host a large tournament with up to 150 people soon, but before we go all out for this, we want to make sure the server can handle this.
Thanks for any advice from the community and/or Kent.

Re: Server Load Test
You would probably need a custom bot that could simulate a variable number of client connections. I have not made one, however.

Re: Server Load Test
Unfortunately I don't know how to do that.
Do you or anyone else here know how many players a server can generally support at the same time?
Thanks

A fast system with a lot of bandwidth should be able to support a few hundred but you never know until the system is actually loaded up with players.Supersonics wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 11:07 pm Do you or anyone else here know how many players a server can generally support at the same time?

Hi Supersonics, we regularly have more than 200 players online at the same time 2x a week with a PM7 Gold license.Supersonics wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 11:07 pm Do you or anyone else here know how many players a server can generally support at the same time?

That's great to hear Jerry, thanks!
What type of server are you using?
We're using Atlantic.net with 1 GB RAM, 40 GB Disk.
Thanks,
Supersonics

Are you really want to hear this?^^
It's a little bit oversized with 22GB Ram and 200GB Disk /Win10 (not Server), average cpu load <5%

Re: Server Load Test
Have you measured your uplink and downlink speeds (Mbps)? I'm curious how much bandwidth you have.
Re: Server Load Test
just measured:
Down: 500 Mbps
Up: 200 Mbps
Ping 6 ms
