Poker Mavens ™ is a play-money poker software system that lets both friends and strangers play against each other over the Internet for fun or practice. The software consists of a server module that runs on most Windows computers and an Adobe Flash client module that runs on just about any computer with a web browser (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.). The server module automatically serves the free Flash client and thus the players do not need to install any new software. The game administrator can run a private server, protected by a password so that only their friends can join in, or as a public server so that anyone can join in.

♣ Basic Features

• Play Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit Texas Hold'em, two to ten players per table.
• Ring (cash) game and tournament formats supported.
• User accounts keep track of chip balances and player settings.
• Email validation, password recovery, buddy lists, and blacklists available for access control.
• Player interface contains a lobby window with lists of players and available tables.
• Poker tables contained in resizable windows with animated graphics, sound effects, and an instant message style chat area.
• Information window with each table contains basic player statistics, hand histories, and an extended chat area.

♣ Pro Version Features

• Number of live tables limited only by system resources and available bandwidth.
• Multi-table tournaments.
• Custom graphics options lets you replace background image and table logo with your own.
• Banner ad option lets you place ads or other custom HTML content at the top or bottom of the playing surface.
• Remote Administration option allows you to control your server from a remote location through any web browser.

♣ Lite Version Features

The Lite version is limited to one live table at a time, either a ring game table or a single table tournament. It also does not have the custom graphics, banner ad, or remote administration options that are available in the Pro version.

♣ Trial Version Features

The Trial version is similar to the Lite Version but is restricted to 500 hands of Limit Hold'em and does not have the listing option at PokerMavens.net.

♣ Server Module Requirements

• Windows 98 through Vista
• Internet connection or TCP/IP local area network
• Two ports opened to players through local firewall and forwarded through a router if necessary

♣ Player Client Module Requirements

• Windows, Macintosh, Linux, or other system with Adobe Flash compatible web browser (Flash player version 8 or later)
• Internet connection or TCP/IP local area network
• 800 x 600 or higher graphics resolution
