Hi all,

We've got a server running Poker Mavens, but having real issues with timestamps. For some reason the timestamps on the software reset every hour. Examples below... the timestamps keep resetting at around 17:00 back to 16:00.

This means that we can never get a timed game to start automatically. Has anyone seen anything like this before. Its baffling me!!

That's very weird. What time is on the Windows system clock? That is the source of the timestamps.

i know! I can't yet RDP onto the Server in question (Its a Win7 server) - not sure if thats an issue? But when i can i'll post up the server clock time. It was the first place we checked, so my friend says that he has updated the server clock time correctly (even then i would still expect Maven Software to pull a sequential time not keep re-setting??)

Just wanted to see if there were any guesses as i can't even imagine what would cause this - unless the server clock is looping somehow!!

When all else fails, reboot the whole server.

Server has been rebooted a few times

Did some more digging and suspicion is now hardening away from Mavens (it was never really pointing at the software, but wondered if anyone else had similar experience).

There is a potential issue with the CMOS on the motherboard that stores the BIOS settings. Been advised to replace the battery.

Windows is going every hour to BIOS to review the server time and BIOS is failing to respond(we think) - so Windows is resetting the time to its last reboot. (Does this on the hour) so time stands still.

Just in case anyone else is using outdated kit and stumbles across this log....

All i ended up doing was replacing the CMOS battery on the motherboard - and rebooted. And the problem resolved itself.
