Is it possible to hide a private tournament from the tournament tab if the player does not have a ticket? I would like to set up a private tournament but I would prefer players not having a ticket not be able see tournament on their client, regardless of how their client filter is set.

No, the client module doesn't currently know what tickets a player holds until they either check their balance or try to register for a tournament.
