For the sake of clarity, would you please consider using an "X" for checking the box when given the option to choose between a ticket and cash to buy into a tournament. I think the box on box makes which one the player is choosing unnecessarily difficult for players.

This one? It uses the same radio button control used throughout the client (like Lobby -> Options menu -> Display settings).

Are you sure the confusion is about the design of the radio button control (which appears very clear to me as to which option is selected) and not understanding what a tournament ticket is and how it can be used to pay the buy in?

I'm 100% sure it's the radio button that's causing the confusion. When the colors are different from the original, it looks like an absence of space instead of a box check.

Please post a screenshot of it in your color scheme.

I will shrink the selector button in the next update so that it's more clear which box is selected on a dark background. Like this:
