Beep when it's your turn

So I'm kinda late to the pokermaven bandwagon, but we just did our first pokernight and people loved it. One of our big gripes was the short time you had to make a decision, so I set the default turn time to 30s and time bank to 120s with 25 hand reset. The time bank was hardly used now, unlike on P*, but one annoyance was that players would often change tab in Chrome and not realize it was their turn. This usually meant that we were sitting in anticipation for 20s and the the countdown starts and the dud would realize that it was his turn. On P* the table window would pop to front, but if he's surfing FB, porn or whatever, the window/program would be active but if it was possible to play a sound telling the player that "it's on you" would get the game going faster.

I'll be changing the timer from 30s to 20s, but it still would be nice to play a unique sound to trigger some attention from the player when his turn starts. If you also could bring his browser to front (if it wasn't already), that would be a bonus. It happened to me a couple of times too, the only way I could tell it was my turn while I was doing something else in the first 20s, was because I didn't hear other players bet or fold.

The software does beep when it's your turn but (as far as I know) there is no command to bring a browser tab to the top of the z-stack. That would annoy the hell out of people if another web site could pop over what you were currently looking at.

Yeah, by all means. No request to pop a tab up, but there wasn't a sound when your turn started when I played tonight. Then again, several people didn't notice that the 10s warning started either so maybe the browser sound was turned down. Have you considered a beep per second when the Turn warning starts? I'm pretty sure it didn't happen today. I think there was a beep when it started but that's it.

Check your settings to make sure the "Beep sounds" box is checked (which is the default setting) and the Sound volume bar is not at zero:

Lobby window -> Options menu -> Sound Effects
