One thing you could try is to manually run Windows Defender, go into Tools/Settings and temporarily turn off real-time protection. Run the patch again but cancel it after the extraction and before running the setup. Turn real-time protection back on and run a manual scan against pp704setup.exe. If it's clean and pp700704.exe is clean then Defender is just being dumb.

I wonder if any others applied this patch to a win10 machine, since Win7 would have a different Defender pgm?

If Windows Updates are current then everyone should be operating from the same database of virus signatures.

Quick question say we want to use the old original decks plus our custom (I have a 2 and 4 color deck I got from the tables guy). Do I need to just use the custom decks on 3 and 4 or do I need to hunt down the old cards file somewhere to use and then put it in a folder and point deck 1 and deck 2 to its location.

The default decks will automatically be available to the players for the settings you leave blank.
