Tournament Failure in Mixed Limit Games

Post by The MPC »

So I've had a reoccurring tournament failure.

It's only happened so far in limit games.

Conditions:

Player X is sitting out prior to the hand beginning.

Player X is forced all in at some point during the hand (ante or blind).

Player X is eliminated in the hand.

Prior to the hand finishing, the table goes blank and nothing more happens.

And the insult to injury is: when the tournament is force closed, because the hand that crashes the system is not officially completed, player X is awarded a part of the chopped prize pool.

Is there an entry in the Error Log file at the time of the crash?

Is this Gold version 6.22? Please contact me via email. I have a beta compiled with extra debugging traps that I'd like you to try. It will give me a stack trace on a fatal tournament error like that to help pinpoint the origin point in my code. That 40E89B address is deep inside a system string unit and doesn't give me any clue as what called it from my code.

Also, please export that tournament to a file and send to me. I'll try to replicate the conditions you describe above and see if I can trigger it myself.
