Posting in NL games

Is there any way to make it so that new players don't have to post when entering a NL game?

They can simply wait for the the big blind, which is the default condition. But no one can join a running game without posting a BB on their first hand. Otherwise people would constantly be dropping in, looking to get a big hand for free and just leaving when they don't. And repeating that over and over since it had no cost.

right, and it's obviously not that big a deal, but standard for no limit games in casinos is for players to be able to get a hand and start playing without posting, so it would be nice to at least have it as an option in the table set-up. not concerned at all about the scenario you outlined because anyone abusing it in that way would be blatantly obvious and could be dealt with.
