Re: VPS server problem
On a VPS/Cloud server (i.e., no routers) you just need to add PMServer.exe to the Windows Firewall "Allow" list. No need to mess with individual ports. Adding the whole program allows any ports to be used.

Re: VPS server problem
You can if you can open the File Port and Packet Port in your router's port forwarding setup. But a VPS/Cloud server has a lot of advantages including high speed bandwidth in both directions, being online 24/7, getting a static IP address that you can attach a domain name to, etc.smedia wrote:And I have another question if I can run PM from my PC instead of paying for a VPS service?
Re: VPS server problem
That's exactly what I did
And it shows me that the game exists on the site
http://www.pokermavens.net
Game Name: CORONA TIME
And it doesn't connect
Maybe there is another problem or stage that I did not succeed
I also tried to run from my computer and couldn't
That's why I bought a VPS server
I want to play games with friends 5 people

Re: VPS server problem
I don't have any experience with Google cloud servers. But if you've got PMServer.exe open in the Windows Firewall then most like Google has it's own firewall on top of that. If there's no separate web server running on your account, try changing the File Port to 80 and the Packet Port to 443 since those are standard http and https ports that may already be open.
