Re: WSServerConnect error: Out of memory
Pretty much just what it says. You're out of memory. Which PM version do you have? If it's Gold, 32-bit or 64-bit? How many logins did you have at the time?BitingBummer wrote:What does it mean?

Was the site loaded at the time? You could have been under a denial of service attack. Use the Windows Task Manager to monitor the CPU, Memory, and Thread count for PMServer.exe.

Yes, it seems like someone is trying to attack my server.Kent Briggs wrote:Was the site loaded at the time? You could have been under a denial of service attack. Use the Windows Task Manager to monitor the CPU, Memory, and Thread count for PMServer.exe.
Is there any probability that the system has security holes? Someone threatens to hack into my server.

Re: WSServerConnect error: Out of memory
Poker Mavens has some basic protections you can use with "Max FP connections" and "Max PP connections" options in the Server Settings group. But a real denial-of-service attack needs to be filtered upstream before it even reaches your poker server. First use a tool like TCPView to see if that is really what is happening.BitingBummer wrote:Yes, it seems like someone is trying to attack my server.

Re: WSServerConnect error: Out of memory
Not if it's a result of hacking/DOS attack.BitingBummer wrote:If I buy more RAM on my server, will it solve the problem?
Are you running the latest version (4.36)?
What do you have set for these settings:
Max sessions
Allow duplicate IPs
Max FP connections
Max FP connections per IP
Max PP connections
Max PP connections per IP
What does the Windows Task Manager show for Memory and Threads for PMServer.exe when the out of memory condition occurs?
