Hi,
I have downloaded the test version of the poker program and when I run it internaly on my network it works fine.
But when I try the same thing from outside my private network I only get half way.
I have opend the ports I use accoring to the instuction. And I get the first contact and the flash part loads fine. But when the game it self should connect ... nothing hapends. There is a box saying "Establishing connection on port 17655" ...and nothing .....

Site pwd = Muck
Many thanks to any help you can give me. If I get this to work I will buy the program directly

Re: Connection problem
I just logged into your site so it's working now.
Re: Connection problem
Hi,
Yes, I noticed that you logged on and created an account, thanks!
But I can still not get it to work from any of my test sites (4 of them).
Is there any settings in the browser that is needed or what?
I get the same problem from all the test sites, and they are all different ISP's.
I have also tried different OS and browsers. I get the same problem with IE7 and Firefox.
I have also tried it on a Ubuntu client with Firefox. Still no luck.
What is it that I do wrong?

Re: Connection problem
I noticed your listing at pokermavens.net/trial connects using your raw IP rather than the domain you listed above. I have no problem connecting either way but have you tried both from those other locations? Are these locations you are trying from all outside of your local network?
Re: Connection problem
Is your own client inside the network where the game server resides? If so, then you should just connect to your local IP. Or have you been testing from a business location where there may be an outbound firewall blocking everything other than port 80?I now got it to work at a friends client.. but still not on my own
Windows (or whatever OS is being used) will randomly assign an outbound port when connecting to an external site. There's nothing special about 843.He is of the paranoid type and have all ports, ingoing and outgoing, closed and only open on demand.
He noticed that when accessing my poker site it wanted to open the outgoing port 843
Is this something you know anything about? What is that port used for?

Oops, I hit Edit instead of Quote on the previous message. The quoted parts belong to PaMa and the rest is mine.
Re: Connection problem
Hi,
No, the tests I do on my own is not on the same network as the server is on.
When trying it on the local network at home there is no problem, I then use the local IP instead of the public one.
3 more friends have now tested the site and 2 was ok and the last one got the same problem as I have on my test sites.
I'm sorry to say that with all the problems to get it to work I will uninstall the program. I have to face the trouth that there is something about the ISP's here in Sweden that mess with me.
Thanks for all you assistance.

Re: Connection problem
Ask the friend who can't connect if they can connect to my demo server at http://www.pmserver.netPaMa wrote: 3 more friends have now tested the site and 2 was ok and the last one got the same problem as I have on my test sites.

Kent. Same thing here. A "netstat -noa" reveals that it's not even binding to the external address. I don't wanna post the entire list for security purposes, but it's only binding to localhost. (I changed my default ports just to be sure it wasn't something odd)
TCP 127.0.0.1:7072 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 2100
TCP 127.0.0.1:7073 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 2100

Same here. On trial software and the one we purchased. We can not get this working. Not here at my home and another location.Boz wrote:Kent. Same thing here. Tried several ports, no difference. Weird thing is we got it working at a third location (The Excavators, is in the list).... Same ISP, same routers, same OS...
Port forward is def not the issue here. That im sure of.
