He said he wasn't able to take a a good screenshot of it but he saw the card on the dealer area before flop even happened. How is this possible? Is he just screwing with me?

Check the hands just before that and see if that seat was dealt a 7d. That graphic could have been stuck there from a disconnect. It's just a coincidence that it happened to be the river card on a subsequent hand.

I'll check. Could you edit my initial post and remove the image as well?

The river on the previous hand was a 6d, the last hand that he played had a 2d on the river so that's why I'm confused.

The river card is irrelevant. What were the hole cards dealt to that seat on the previous hand? The image you posted showed a 7d.

This is the deck of the previous hand on the same table:
** Deck ** [Js Ks 4h 4c Ad Ac Qc 9h 9c Kh 2s 7h Jh 2h Th 3h 6d]
The last hand that he had played had this deck, however:
** Deck ** [Qc 8d Ts 9h 5d 5h 8h Qh 3c 9d Jh 6c 8s 6s 7d 7c Ah Ad 4s Th Js Tc 2d]
The user did mention he had random dropouts so I that might explain it. Thanks once again, Kent!

By last hand I meant the previous one. So not used to not being able to edit posts.

The player positioned 6 places clockwise from the button had [5h 7d] in this hand. If that was him then it was just a left over card that didn't get cleared properly, likely due to packet drop.
