Beware of bitzgaming.com

Post by Kent Briggs »

Beware that http://www.bitzgaming.com is a scam site purporting to support code development for Poker Mavens, using the screen name BitzgamingPlatform here. That account has since been deleted along with all his posts. Most likely this was just a single individual pretending to operate a development team out of Tampa, Florida. Based on the broken English in his posts and on the web site, I doubt he's in the USA at all. I was tipped off today by someone who purchased a stolen license key from him along with a forged Briggs Softworks receipt. And just to leave no doubt, check out the "About" portion of his web site showing the "Development Team", "CEO", and "Head Programmer", which I've screen captured at http://imgur.com/z6qwMVh. And with the help of Google Image search, check out the About page of this A/V consulting company in Israel: http://avcom.tv/about/team/. Anyway, never buy a license key from anywhere other than Briggs Softworks.

Thank you for the heads up, I was very close to paying them for their service.

While I am disappointed that we have yet another victim (thewhizgeek) of a scam and someone receiving stolen property, it is nice to hear that some action was able to be taken against the perp, even if it was just a swing from the Ban Hammer. It would be nice to actually track this guy down, but alas, he is a coward and takes extra precautions to hide his identity and location. All my leads point to Israel, although he has stated to numerous people that he is in Tampa, Florida.

Best thing we can do is share information and make sure new people joining this community are given fair warning.

New users as well as seasoned vets in the world of Mavens should beware when hiring and allowing some unknown programmer onto your servers. I personally know of several people that have had ALL of their personal data, software, files, and payments stolen by unscrupulous individuals lurking in these forums. One of the biggest scourges in the forums is a guy that goes by Nick, Nick Ross, RedDevil, GPbets, UGPBTC, Ben, Ben Brookly, webmedia.ben, or Destiny... to name a few of his aliases. This dude is a con artist and should be avoided like the plague.

Wow...thanks for these posts...I was suckered in by their site...had a real nice chat with them via customer support...and was amazed at the Bots program that they were offering at such a low price! lol Too good to be true...Disappointing...
I wonder if it is the same guy that was offering cheating software a few years back, he was in israel.
