Hello. I run the site FearPoker.com and I just bought the pro version. I also bought FearPoker.net from 1and1.com with windows hosting. I want to be able to host everything up there, but I don't know where to start to do that. How can I get FearPoker.net to start the program?
Thanks,
Jeff
PS I tried reading that FAQ, but it didn't seem to cover ftp or anything.

I assume your 1and1 server is either a VPS or a dedicated server, right? If so the first thing you should do is run Windows Remote Desktop Connection on your local PC (should be in your Accessories group) so you can connect to your server at 1and1. Input your server's IP address (or your domain name) and the admin password that 1and1 gave you. In the options section of Remote Desktop, check the box that allows you to connect to local drives and then you can use the Windows Explorer on the remote site to drag and drop files to and from your local PC. Copy the Poker Mavens setup file to the remote C: drive and run it to install. Then double-click the icon on the desktop, fill in the applicable options and put it online.ztnark wrote:Hello. When closing Remote Desktop, just click the "X" at the top of the window. Do not do a full logout because that terminates the Windows session and closes the game server since it's just an ordinary Windows application and not a service. Also note that if you want to use port 80, you'll have to shutdown the IIS web server that is already running by default on the 1and1 server. But if you use Poker Mavens' default ports of 8087 and 8088 then you don't have to worry about that.

Ok, that makes sense, but will have I have to keep my computer on for the application to keep running up there?

No, once you've disconnected you can do whatever you want with your local PC.ztnark wrote:Ok, that makes sense, but will have I have to keep my computer on for the application to keep running up there?
