Heads up Tourneys

Post by dcx135 »

I think this is where automated poker really shines due to the crazy amount of dealing and shuffling if it was done in a live format.

Currently, I can set a max 2 per table, but the game isn't paused for speedier tables so the starting stacks for Level 2 aren't consistent.

Would it be difficult to add a parameter to the tournament settings that only the winner from each table "advances"?

So in other words, for a 64 player HU tourney -> only 32 advances -> then only 16 advances etc etc..

A "shoot out" tournament is where each table plays down to a winner and then those people merge to a final table. A heads up tournament is a special bracketed form of that played like the NCAA basketball tournament. The number of entrants needs to be a power of two (2, 4 ,8, 16, 32, 64...). Not a simple change but definitely something I'll consider in the future.
