Never ran out of disk space at the time. The error wasn't even from the same time it did slow and was about to go down. Just giving the last error in the logs as requested.

Is there any clue to what is causing this to happen with a large amount of users on? Never had this issue until upgrading to 2.78.

No idea, especially when there are no consistent errors recorded and nothing abnormal with the server CPU.

I have exactly the same desire to avoid the crash I am forced to restart poker maven at least every 3 days.

the problem starts with the seat on the tables which indicate cashgames hold but there is not the nickname of the player on the list just the balance

I'm not sure if I'm remembering right, bit I think I recall one of the updates having a fix to prevent large tournaments and large connections amounts from doing exactly what is happening. I tried searching for it, but can't find where it was said, so I'm not sure if it was ever posted. If so, maybe something with that got changed by accident or isn't working right with a new addition in the software?

I'd love for it to just be the server, 'cause that's an easy fix for me.

I make a "Poker Mavens 2.xx Released" post in the General section with each new update describing the changes. Also the complete revision history is posted here:

http://www.briggsoft.com/pmavens_rh.htm

The recent changes related to tournaments was that the server was sending out leaderboard changes the moment they occurred. Now it queues those so they don't go out more than once every 5 seconds, thus reducing the strain on both the server and clients.

Well, despite re-installing the game client, it crashed again last night with a large number of connections; 100+.
Again, normal CPU and RAM usage, no server errors, and no abnormal errors in the log for the client.

This is getting downright insane with it crashing every night.

Are you sure your provider is giving you enough bandwidth? If packets started backing up because of lack of bandwidth then that would cause a problem.

If you want to revert back to a previous version, let me know which one and I'll send you a link.

100% positive we're getting enough bandwidth. The problem didn't start until a day after installing 2.78. 2.77 would be fine...but at least there haven't been any fatal errors at tables with 2.78.

That downgrade link would be nice ASAP. The client hasn't stopped responding right now, but 31 of my tables are showing online in RA and on the client server side, but offline for everyone using the client. It was an easy fix for me (just closing them then putting them online again), but again there are no odd errors in the log.

Here's the log for today.
