Just like in PokerStars or any other poker software,

When a player is disconnected, a "disconnect time bank" is activated in addition to this regular player bank time.

It would be great to have such feature and to choose the amount of seconds allowed a disconnect player to get.

Sounds like remove disconnected player after max. allowed disconnect timebank seconds.

Are there any developmental thoughts on this topic?

No, not really. I remember looking at it a couple of years ago but adding a separate time bank complicated my code enough that I shelved the idea for the time being. I may revisit it later.
