MySQL data storing option

Hello, I have almost 40 000 registered users playing poker on our website. And it seems that this software is not really good at working with such amount of data. It takes lots of time to load, most of the time it appears Not Responding on the Windows Desktop. I suppose that storing everything in MySQL could make everything more efficient, as it wouldn't have to load all the data at once.
