Can't connect

Post by fishy »

Hi, I am having a few connection issues at the moment. I have Pokermavens Gold installed locally on my own computer. I can see my myself listed on Pokermavens server directory (Fishy Poker, password:fishy) I can access locally using 127.0.0.1 .. I have also checked my ports with PFPortchecker and it says that they are open. I also have windows Firewall disabled. However whenever I click on my server it won't display the page. I have tried it on a few computers within the local network and get same problem. I'm at a bit of a loose end and really do not know what else I can try.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks ...

Have someone on the outside of your LAN try to connect. Some routers don't like connecting to their own internet IP. Also double-check your Internet IP setting in Poker Mavens and make sure it hasn't changed. Use the built in Lookup button.

You need to add a NAT redirection in your modem/router, to your computers IP.

8087 ---> 192.168.x.x (your pc IP)
8088 ---> 192.168.x.x (your pc IP)

If your modem/router doenst add automaticly a sentence to open the ports in your modem/router firewall you also have to add 8087 and 8088 to your firewall.

You can not view your page internally without a proxy.
Try using www.ultrasurf.com.
Its a proxy that gives you a different external IP adress.
Download the program and run it.
If you have internet explorer it wil open automaticly.

Try visiting your page. It should work.
