Mr Briggs
Could you tell me please if I purchase Poker Mavens do I own and control that software and run it entirely from my own computer or dedicated website server?

Yes, the software is self-contained and all under your control. It runs on your Windows PC or your Windows server. The Flash client is fed to the players from your computer. The free listing at PokerMavens.net is optional.

It's designed as a play money system. There's currently no rake and the security if fairly lightweight. But if you can figure out a legal way to profit from it then more power to you. Several people are already using it as an add-on for MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games).
