Are you going to run the poker server on a home PC or do you have a remote VPS or dedicated server running Windows?

Tell me what you've done so far. Did you run the setup program and now have a Poker Maven icon on your desktop?

Your friends can login directly using your internet IP address, if your ISP has given you a static IP. It'll look something like http://123.456.789.012:8087 where the number after the colon specifies the File Port. And of course, if you already have a separate web site, you could just link to your poker server running at home. To see your Internet IP, double click the "Internet IP Address" setting in the Site Information group on the System tab in Poker Mavens. Then click the Lookup button.

If your ISP has not given you a static IP address, then enable the "Auto lookup IP" option so that it'll get set automatically every time you put the poker server online. Enable the "Directory listing" option and they can login through http://www.PokerMavens.net by double-clicking your site from the list.

Normally you can't register a domain name to a home pc because it's not a real web site with name servers. However, if your ISP has given you a static IP, you can get a domain name at a registrar like http://www.godaddy.com and just forward the name to your IP. There are also DNS services available that will redirect a domain name to your IP, static or not.
