On screen display of tournament blinds and clock

Post by naked_eskimo »

Here is an alternative I have come up with for those that wish to display blinds schedule and clock during game play.

For our games we use Jitsi for audio and video conferencing. My webcam doesn't work (I can't be bothered to troubleshoot, as I am only interested in the audio anyway), so today I installed some poker tournament software and then figured I could just share that screen in Jitsi and anyone that wants to watch a large display of the blinds schedule and clock, they can click on my icon in Jitsi and then they can have a nice, large display with all that information.

It takes literally seconds to setup a room in Jitsi. No accounts needed, no participant cap, no time cap. Just go here, https://meet.jit.si/ , create a room and share the url with your poker friends. If you wish to share your tournament software that displays the blinds and the clock, then click on share and select either a browser tab or a running application window.

There you go. Everyone that has joined the jitsi room has optional access to your tournament software display. You will also still be able to participate in the group audio while sharing the tournament software application screen.

Now if I could find tournament software that would display on a web page to serve..that would be awesome. But this works pretty well, especially since I was never sharing my webcam anyway.

hi i already posted the solution here:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3014&start=10

attached screenshot of the tourney table.
regarding implementation, it requires deep js and server side coding into kent's exiting table code engine, which i dont recommend if you dont have senior programmer escorting you along the way. kent already stated he will not give support to such kind of complected customization so its up to you.
hiring me to do the job will cost much so its not relevant. but here is a glance of the solution.
