No. Doing so would not give more room for the table graphic (if that was your goal) because it is already scaled to 100% of the screen height. Plus there are other necessary controls on that side of the screen.

Ok, is there any code i can add to the site that will hide the status bar on android / iOS ?

For Android, it's built into the Lobby menu (Options | Fullscreen toggle). For iOS, the user has to manually rotate the phone from portrait to landscape. However, fullscreen mode can be made permanent on both platforms if the user adds the site to their home screen per the instructions here:
