Not to mention MavensDev has NLHE, PLO8 and Stud7 bots and IPokerbot has their own NLHE Ring and Tournament bots..

Are you with iPoker Bot? If so, are you guys planning to update your bot to work with 5.24 or 6.00?

Im wondering what Ricky is going to do.. He was still trying to iron out issues with the tournament NLHE bot he was having and now 6.0 is coming out (also he was next on the list to fix the cash ring NLHE bot which had a collusion mode available which was having some weird gameplay..) I emailed Ricky to see what if any effect this was going to have on development but he didn't reply yet.. Suspect hes waiting tog et a copy of the software to see what changes need to be made for PM6.0.. Im also guessing IPokerbot will definitely be updating to the new 6.0 platform but will likely also support PM 5.24 for awhile.. Depending on the complexities of the upgrade for the bots needed it could easily be November b efore either bot software application is ready to take on PM6.0 server game play

I'm upgrading to version 6.0 today and will start testing. Timeline depends on how much needs to be patched, but MavenBot will be compatible with Poker Mavens 6.0. I'm excited to get my hands on it and check out the new improvements.

Fingers crossed.. My gut is telling me that Ricky wont have to do a lot to patch the Mavens Bots to run on 6.0. The biggest issue would be potentially the Omaha bots wanting to login and play Big O but shouldn't be an issue.. Looks like table graphics are identical between V 5.24 and V6.00 and the API calls I don't think changed much (if any other then adding some more relevant to administration functions).. So fingers crossed that the Mavensbots aren't broken by 6.0 I don't think they will be but I guess time will tell..

On a side note with the ability to use two currencies on Gold version now likely solved my issues of potentially having to run 2 servers one for play money chips and another for offshore to allow crypto folks to play for 'real' if they so choose..

Ken, Is there anything in the manual that discusses server hardware requirements and loads depending on how busy the server is.. I really do appreciate the White List for Dup IPs being done as it will indeed offload the biggest concern hardwarewise I had running the bots on the same machine as the poker software itself as I can either run them from my home on a dedicated PC (I have 1Gig Internet so bandwidth isn't a problem only may have to pay the extra to up from the current softcap of data with charges for overages and just go with the unlimited cap.. More then poker server figures into this as Wife and I are about to cut the cord with DirecTv and go with DirecTV now and adding probably YahooTV for mostly broadcast networks as have occasionally signal issues on an antennae (Landlord wont let us put up an outdoor OTA antenna) so we can utilize their unlimited cloud DVR service as stuff my wife records a lot is local channels for her Dr Phil and Dr Oz (I occasionally tape shows on CBS and NBC and DTVNow has a 20hr cap on DVR).. Anyway I know unrelated to poker but was putting things in perspective regarding my internet and needing to potentially up my data cap limit (Cox would allow me to pay an overage once I hit 1TB of like $10 for 10GB I think it is but no point when I can pay extra $39.95 and utilize whatever beyond the current 1TB limit..

There were very few changes to the client/server protocol between v5 and v6 and none related to logging in and out. All the graphics remain the same, except for the new ability to have a different table graphic at each table/tournament. Most of the new API calls (other than RingGamesEject) are related to the new secondary currency option.

Not in the help file but I've mentioned here in the forums that the thread load seems to be the limiting factor. Eventually too many threads running causes Windows to run out of system resources. Adding more CPU speed, RAM, and internet bandwidth doesn't seem to help past a certain point (several hundred logins).
