Trouble connecting

I am having trouble connecting to the client.

I have the PM version 5.10 installed on both a VPS at 1and1 and also on my Home computer.

On my home computer
I am having the same results in 4 browsers (Chrome, Fiefox, Microsoft EDGE and Internet explorer)
I can get the "test" version to run on my home computer by clicking the "CLIENT" tab in the admin panel. Works Perfect http://127.0.0.1:8087/

But I cannot connect to it using a browser and the IP address from the admin panel + the port number (http://71.71.113.238:8087/)

I get this:
This site can’t be reached

71.71.113.238 took too long to respond.

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
On my server

I am only able to use Internet explore for the "test" when I click "client" in the admin panel.

When I do that this happens: The PokerMavens logo and brown background appear with the word - Connecting.... - in the top left corner. It never does connect even though the admin panel shows that there is 1 connection. The poker lobby never does show up

When i try to connect to the poker client on the server using any browser http://70.35.203.230:8087/

I get the same results as above
This site can’t be reached
70.35.203.230 took too long to respond.
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
I have the firewall turned OFF and I also have PokerMavens on the "ALLOWED" list

Any ideas on why I can not connect on the server ?

On your home computer, it's typically a router that is blocking all incoming connections. You must go into your router's Port Forward setup and open up ports 8087 and 8088. Specific instructions for doing that depend on your particular router but www.portforward.com has instructions for just about every one ever made.

On your VPS, typically all you need to do is add PMServer.exe to the Windows Firewall "Allow" list. Which you've said you've done already. From your post it sounds like it successfully loaded the client on the 8087 file port but then it couldn't make the websocket connection back to the server on the 8088 packet port. Is your server online right now because I can't make any kind of connection to http://70.35.203.230:8087.

Still can't connect at all. But also cannot connect on port 80, either (http://70.35.203.230) so there's no default page active on your VPS. So I'd try to get the IIS web server working first (even if you're not going to use it).
