Raise Question

Postby gvazdas » Sat Mar 05, 2016 2:40 pm

Hey guys, I'm an admin on a poker platform. One of my users had a question about raising and I'm not sure how to answer it myself.
Rootybeer posts small blind 50
ASAFABADI posts big blind 100
BUSSEMAND posts big blind 100
** Hole Cards **
Schamber raises to 300
halla raises to 700
BUSSEMAND folds
DomOfTheNick calls 700
Obama folds
ayylmeo calls 700
LammeZak32 folds
Rootybeer folds
ASAFABADI raises to 3000
Schamber folds
halla calls 900 (All-in)
DomOfTheNick calls 2300
ayylmeo raises to 3367 (All-in)
ASAFABADI calls 367

DomOfTheNick calls 367
** Flop **
ASAFABADI bets 3776 (All-in)
DomOfTheNick calls 3633 (All-in)
ASAFABADI refunded 143
** Turn **
** River **
** Side Pot 2 Show Down **
DomOfTheNick shows [2d 2s] (Two Pair, Fours and Deuces +J)
ASAFABADI shows [Ac As] (Two Pair, Aces and Fours +J)
ASAFABADI wins Side Pot 2 (7250) with Two Pair

** Side Pot 1 Show Down **
ayylmeo shows [5d 5s] (Two Pair, Fives and Fours +J)
ASAFABADI wins Side Pot 1 (5089) with Two Pair

** Main Pot Show Down **
halla shows [Kc Jc] (Two Pair, Jacks and Fours +K)
ASAFABADI wins Main Pot (6578) with Two Pair

Why couldn't ASAFABADI all-in after ayylmeo went all-in before flop, only after the flop came?

You can only re-raise if someone makes a full raise after your own raise. ASAFABADI made a 2300 chip raise (from 700 to 3000) so a full raise after that would have to be at least to 5300 (2300 more than 3000). But the all-in player could only make a partial raise to 3367.
