Nothing changed in the packet port connection feature. Usually that indicates a firewall issue on the client end, especially since plenty of other people are connected right now. Some corporate settings only allow browsing to port 80 and maybe 443 (used by secure https pages). Ask them if they are connecting from work, which browsers they have, and what flash version they have as reported by http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html

Got many many more emails saying they can't connect and it just started today.

Which is pretty unusual, they have firefox, IE, it's a variety.
