Hand History missed hand on table move

Today a player reported that during a hand it ended abruptly with 800 chips in the pot and did not properly reward him with those chips.
I searched for the hand # he provided and it did not exist. What I did find after further discussions with the player is, the last hand shown in the hand history file was the hand prior to the one he is bringing up. After the hand finishes, the logs indicate all 3 players present were moved to a new table. The player says prior to moving they were in a hand and the chips were not awarded to him, they just moved.
I have nothing in the logs to back any of his story up and so far I can't track down the other two players, but the guy is not someone that would bring this up unless he really saw it happen so I thought I'd mention it despite having nothing to provide to you that will assist.
