users cannot login

Postby rafee » Sat Jan 10, 2015 4:04 pm

hi

we cannot have logins more than 160~170, when logins count reach this number (about 165) when the other players want to login they get the "Connection failed" error.

i attached the error logs image, could you tell what are they?

Those errors are an indication of a hacker/denial of service attack. If they are coming from a small group of IP addresses, you could block those from the Windows firewall.

The only way to fix denial of service attacks is to block them upstream. If they've found an exploit in the poker server, I'd have to know what they are doing to counter-act that. Those "Invalid reconnect" and "Same-origin policy" messages are recent security enhancements that stop some known attacks. It's possible they've found new ones.

I could if I knew what the attack was. You would have to capture it and tell me the details of it.

we are really confused and we cannot find the bug, actually we dont have time for this.

can you make a plugin to show ever commend that send from user by websocket?
or email me all the commends that is used in software i mean the json commends, so i can test them, maybe i can find the bug.

and now we can be sure that, they use this bug to make the software not responding (i had a post about that before).

It's likely too late at that point. You need a packet sniffer tool like Wireshark to catch the incoming data. Or if it's a denial of service attack, a simple connection monitor like TCPView would show that.

I can't fix a problem that I can't see. You've provided no details.
