All-in tourney player folded when sitting out

Post by Raventhon »

Hand #160964-1 - 2014-04-02 19:54:43
I'm trying to run 'flip tournaments', where antes are massive and stacks are very short. However, if the first-to-act player doesn't click 'ready' fast enough, they're autofolded and they lose.

If someone's all in, they should never have the option to do anything, especially not fold.

Game: NL Hold'em (98+2) - Blinds 10/20 Ante 1000
Site: PokerShibes.com
Table: Ð100 2-person Flip! - Table 1
Seat 1: looked182me (10) - sitting out
Seat 2: Admin (10) - sitting out
looked182me has the dealer button
looked182me posts small blind 0 (All-in)
Admin posts big blind 0 (All-in)
** Hole Cards **
Dealt to Admin [Qc 6s]
looked182me folds
Admin wins Pot (20)
looked182me finishes tournament in place #2
Admin finishes tournament in place #1 and wins 196 chips

Sitters cannot win hands, unless they would be last to act and everyone folds before them.

If you're all-in for the blind, you should never have the ability to fold for any reason.

If you are sitting out, you should never be able to win a hand. That trumps the annoying condition where an absent player slowly gets blinded out of a tournament but is somehow allowed to play a last hand just because the blinds or antes put them all in. And that gives them the ability to win the main pot and keep going for several more hands. That makes no sense.
